Telethon 2024: Mika will sponsor the 38th edition of the charity marathon

Singer Mika has been chosen to sponsor the 38th edition of the Telethon, which will take place on November 29 and 30, 2024. The artist, famous for his hit "Relax (Take it Easy)", succeeds Vianney, sponsor of the 2023 edition. Enthusiastic about this new role, Mika expressed his 100% commitment to this solidarity event, hoping to mobilize his friends in music and cinema to encourage donations.

Aware of the stakes, Mika stressed the importance of continuing to support research for rare genetic diseases. He said that, although progress has been made and some children are living thanks to scientific advances, there is still much to do for those waiting for treatments. Organized each year by the French Association against Myopathies (AFM), the Telethon benefits from prestigious sponsorship to raise awareness and funds.

During the 2023 edition, nearly 93 million euros were raised, a record since 2016. The Telethon mobilizes more than 200 volunteers and is deployed in more than 000 municipalities in France. This year, Mika will take over to embody this great surge of solidarity.
