SOR4, a brand new girl group, formed during the last season of Popstars, is preparing to make its debut in the music industry. After weeks of intensive training under the watchful eye of judges Louane, Alonzo and Eddy de Pretto, the four members – Orisha, Mia, Regina and Yasmeen – hope to seduce the public with their EP, which will be released this Friday. This journey, punctuated by studio recording and a first showcase at Warner, marks a crucial step for these young talents.

The group SOR4 was chosen for its “sincerity” and authenticity, qualities that the judges particularly highlighted. “The voice, the accuracy, the attitude, and the group dynamic” were decisive for the creation of this quartet, according to Eddy de Pretto. In addition to singing, the SOR4 contributed to the writing of several songs on their EP, a decision that shows their desire to prove that they are not only performers, but complete artists. As Yasmeen explains: “We know how to write and not just sing and smile.”

Despite the challenges ahead, SOR4 remain optimistic and determined to make a name for themselves in the music industry. “It’s our strength to be a group,” says Mia, confident in their ability to reach audiences. Louane, for her part, sees the group as a rare opportunity for the French music scene, saying that the lack of successful girl groups doesn’t mean they can’t succeed. The final verdict will be up to fans, who will soon be able to discover SOR4’s talent via streaming platforms.
