Michel Drucker returns with a 27th season of “Vivement Dimanche”: Discover what’s new this year
After an absence marked by health concerns, Michel Drucker, 82, is making a grand return to France 3 with the 27th season of his famous talk show "Vivement Dimanche". Despite a recent heart operation, the host remains in great shape and ready to bring many innovations to his iconic show.
An expanded format and new faces
This new season, which began on September 15, sees "Vivement Dimanche" expand by an additional half-hour, now from 13:30 p.m. to 15:30 p.m. This extension allows the show's content to be enriched with more guests and varied segments. The usual team of Viktor Vincent, David Jarre and Emmanuel Chaunu welcomes a new columnist: Nelson Monfort. The famous sports commentator, known for his columns on the Olympic Games, will bring his expertise and personal touch every two weeks, enjoying total creative freedom.
Michel Drucker is not content with his flagship show. In an interview with Le Parisien/Aujourd'hui en France, he revealed several projects for the 2024/2025 season. He will host a prime time show in collaboration with Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine, dedicated to paying tribute to the work of nurses. In addition, a new show entitled "Ma mère, mon père et Michel Drucker" will see the presenter meet the parents of various celebrities, offering an intimate look at the lives of the artists.
A renewed line-up and moving tributes
Due to renovations at Studio Gabriel, "Vivement Dimanche" is now moving to Studios Rive Gauche, ensuring continuity in the quality of the show. The first episode of this season will feature the actors from the play "Le Duplex" with Annie Duperey, Pascal Légitimus, Corinne Touzet and Francis Perrin. Michel will also welcome Olivier de Benoist and Daniel Auteuil from September 15 at 13:30 p.m.
Tributes to deceased personalities continue to be a strong tradition of the show. This season, Michel Drucker will pay tribute to Lino Ventura with the participation of Claude Lelouch and Françoise Fabian, to Daniel Balavoine alongside Louis Chedid, and to Dalida with the presence of Orlando, her brother. A special segment is also dedicated to Théo Curin, former quadruple amputee swimmer and new presenter of the game show "Slam" on France 3, as well as to Tony Estanguet, president of the organizing committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Back on stage and literary projects
Beyond television, Michel Drucker is preparing his big comeback on stage in 2026 with his show "De vous à moi", interrupted in 2023 following a new heart operation. In addition, he is working on a book provisionally entitled "Avec le temps", which will explore his long career and his passion for animation.
With this 27th season, Michel Drucker confirms his status as an unbeatable figure in French television. Between new collaborations, an expansion of the format and personal projects, "Vivement Dimanche" promises to be richer and more diverse than ever. Viewers can expect unforgettable moments and the same communicative energy that has made the show a success over the years.
