Manu Chao returns with “Viva Tu”, seventeen years after his last album
The famous French-Spanish singer Manu Chao marks his big comeback with Long Live You, his fifth solo album, which will be released on September 20, 2024. Seventeen years later Radiolin, this album reflects his social commitment and his eclectic music, mixing reggae, gypsy sounds and Latin influences. True to himself, Manu Chao continues to favor small, intimate venues, where he performs with inexhaustible energy.
During an acoustic concert in Vitry-sur-Seine on September 17, Manu Chao delighted his long-time fans, while conquering new generations. Between classics like Clandestine and unpublished from Long Live You, the artist confirmed that he has lost none of his protest spirit. The audience, all generations combined, was delighted to find the artist in a more intimate setting, far from the big stadiums.
With Long Live You, Manu Chao continues to surprise, collaborating in particular with the legendary country singer Willie Nelson and the young rapper Laeti. This new opus, sung in several languages, testifies to his musical openness and his international influence, while maintaining the committed soul that has always characterized his career.
