JO PARIS 2024 – Gold medal for French surfer Kauli Vaast!
Kauli Vaast, the French and Polynesian surfer, won the gold medal at the 2024 Olympic Games in Teahupoo. He obtained his victory in the final against Jack Robinson, an Australian surfer, on his land. Right after his success, Kauli Vaast expressed his gratitude to the audience who supported him. He also mentioned that this victory was for France, Polynesia and all the people who believed in him

As a reminder, the Teahupoo spot had been talked about in recent months due to the controversy surrounding Anne Hidalgo. The mayor of Paris had indeed been suspected of embezzlement of public funds.
