Paris 2024 Olympic Games: Jean-Noël Barrot, resigning minister, at the start of the Marathon for all

Jean-Noël Barrot, MoDem deputy and resigning minister responsible for European issues, is preparing to participate in the Marathon for All this Saturday evening, in the streets of Paris. Like thousands of other amateur runners, he will set off on the same route as the professional athletes, linking the Hôtel de Ville to Les Invalides with a detour through Versailles, a town located in the Yvelines constituency that he has represented for seven years.

The preparation for this marathon was slightly disrupted for Jean-Noël Barrot due to recent political events, notably the early legislative elections. Despite this, he has been training seriously since May, as he explained on BFM. “Preparing for the marathon is twelve weeks. I hope to be at my best on Saturday,” he said, while acknowledging the challenges of combining his political responsibilities with his training schedule.

Jean-Noël Barrot will wear the colors of the charity Rêve de Dunes during the race. This is not his first marathon: according to Le Parisien, he had already run the Mont-Saint-Michel marathon in less than four hours at the end of the 2000s, and had improved his time by fifteen minutes during the Paris marathon. a few years later.
