Éric Brunet returns to BFMTV at the start of the 2024 school year

BFMTV has announced the return of Éric Brunet from August 2024. The host will take charge of a new show broadcast from 20 p.m. to 22 p.m., Monday to Thursday, focused on current events and debates. This daily meeting promises to bring facts, incisive analyses, as well as rants and favorites, with Brunet's inimitable style.

Marc-Olivier Fogiel, general director of BFMTV, was delighted with this return: “I am very happy that Éric Brunet is returning to his BFMTV home. Every evening, Éric will bring his engaged but never partisan look to the news. With the editorial team and its guests, he will create a new space of freedom on the air, a moment of exchange off the beaten track where mood will be at the service of analysis.

Éric Brunet, who will leave LCI in a few weeks after four years of service, expressed his satisfaction at joining BFMTV again: “This company that I know well demonstrates its great professionalism every day. From August, I will work to live up to its editorial ambitions. National news is accelerating, the world is tense. Something tells me we'll have our work cut out for us! »

Brunet, whose career began at France Télévisions, is well known for his interventions as a debater and expert on French political life on various channels such as LCI, Europe 1, France 5, Canal+ and France 2. He joined RMC in 2010 before joining BFMTV in 2012, then spending four years on LCI. Its return to BFMTV is part of the channel's strategy to strengthen the 20 p.m. to 22 p.m. time slot in the face of strong competition from Pascal Praud's “L'Heure des pros 2” on CNews, which dominates this time slot.

With this new commitment, Éric Brunet is ready to bring his expertise and dynamism to decipher the news and lead passionate debates, thus meeting the editorial ambitions of BFMTV.
