Alleged sextape blackmail against Valbuena: Djibril Cissé in police custody

Four people, including Djibril Cissé, were placed in police custody in a case of alleged blackmail against Mathieu Valbuena.

 

Four people have been in police custody since Tuesday for an “extortion” case at the expense of Mathieu Valbuena. Among them, Djibril Cissé, arrested at six o'clock this morning.

According to sources close to the investigation, Djibril Cissé, former OM striker, “ is in good faith and should be exonerated" However, three other people are still in police custody and are suspected of having blackmailed Valbuena, claiming to be in possession of a “sex tape that he allegedly made with his partner”.

According to I-télé, the criminals demanded between 50 and 000 euros from Mathieu Valbuena. These three individuals, unemployed and aged 100 to 000, are known to the police. They were arrested, one in Creil and two others in Marseille. A source close to the case reported to M6 that the criminals have the habit of frequenting certain footballers' agents.

The Versailles judicial police were charged with the investigation. According to a press release from the Versailles public prosecutor, “ Djibril Cissé was placed in police custody by the services of the regional direction of the judicial police of Versailles as part of a judicial investigation opened at the Versailles high court on July 31, 2015 on charges of blackmail and participation in an association of criminals with a view to preparing an offense punishable by at least five years of imprisonment »

Contacted by AFP, Mathieu Valbuena’s lawyers indicated that they had, “ as well as (their) client, no declaration to be made in order to preserve the smooth running of the procedure«
