This week's box office is marked by two impressive successes: on the one hand, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, the highly anticipated sequel to Tim Burton's classic, and on the other hand, Kaizen, 1 year to climb Everest!, the documentary event from YouTuber Inoxtag.

Released in France on September 11, 2024, Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has attracted over 571 spectators in just five days, an impressive start that almost matches the score of the original in 000. In the United States, the film has already amassed $1988 million, confirming the triumphant return of Michael Keaton in his iconic role. With a cast that mixes original actors and new faces like Jenna Ortega, the film seems well on its way to crossing the 188 million admissions mark in France.

At the same time, Inoxtag, whose real name is Inès Benazzouz, created a surprise with Kaizen. The documentary retracing his ascent of Everest mobilized 310 spectators in a single day, despite a release limited to the evening of September 000 in 13 cinemas. Available for free the following day on YouTube, Kaizen has exploded the counters with 18 million views in three days. A real feat for this young content creator, who demonstrates his ability to unite a large audience both in theaters and online.

Si Beetlejuice Beetlejuice et Kaizen dominate the charts, other releases, such as Thread with Daniel Auteuil, or even Dahomey by Mati Diop, complete a very diverse box office this week.
